2010 Suzuki Grand Vitara - Powertrains and Performance
Two engine options are available for this years Suzuki Grand Vitara. The 2.4-liter inline-4 generates 166 horse power and 162 pound-feet of twisting and can be combined with either a five-speed stick shift (on Base) or a four-speed automated (standard on all other four-cylinder models). A more significant 3.2-liter V6 that makes 230 hp and 213 lb-ft of twisting is available only on XSport and Restricted designs, and come conventional with a five-speed automated gearbox.
Rear-wheel generate is conventional, and all trims except for the Platform can be optioned with four-wheel generate. The Top quality trim's optionally available 4WD is a single-mode system (as is the Top quality Unique Edition), while all XSport and Restricted trims get four-mode 4WD (4H, 4H Secure, 4L Secure and N). The four-mode body fairly neutral (N) establishing allows the Grand Vitara to be flat-towed behind a rv without usage build up. XSport and Restricted 4WD V6 designs also come with mountain awesome management.

Though it won't win any prizes for design, the five-passenger Grand Vitara has a nice-looking internal, with streaming collections and indicators set in simulated metal trim. The illuminated red shows on the middle collection are well-placed and easily readable, but they absence the kind of visible charm found in other SUVs. The conventional Forerunner routing is a welcome addition this year, and its detachable design should make it attractive for experience hunters. It is, however, more difficult to function (and reach) than traditional built-in systems.
